In 2014, thinc design teamed up with PFS Studio as the local executive landscape architect to undertake a plan to restore and revitalize Grange Park into a strikingly beautiful, resilient, sustainable and accessible landscape. Both interactive and contemplative, it welcomes all neighbours, residents and visitors to the community through design excellence, state of the art conservation techniques and outstanding works of art. The vision includes extensive tree protection and enhancement initiatives in consultation with urban forestry, custom play areas designed in collaboration with Earthscape, interactive water features by DEW, public art, open lawn spaces, rest areas and meandering pathways.
thinc design was the local landscape architect for this project and was responsible for overseeing the day to day contract administration of the project. This included managing the consulting team, working with the general contractor and sub trades, and coordinating communications between the various stakeholders to help ensure successfull implementation. The project was completed by the summer of 2017.
