thinc design worked with the Canadian Mental Health Association and Levitt Goodman Architects on a new health facility in Guelph Ontario.
Located near the downtown core, this facility worked to integrate a renovated facility with a new landscape design. Combining both the goal of a contemplative experience for building users and the sites technical restraints (parking, stormwater and water table infiltration) the resulting design was a landscape treatment unique in the Guelph community.
Some of the main features include: above grade stormwater treatments (rain gardens), decorative entry plazas, thoughtful screening/integration for the surrounding community, a dynamic planting palette and a feature infiltration gallery.
