thinc design is working with the City of Toronto on the design and implementation of a park and playground revitalization for Fred Hamilton Park. The new design will provide improved accessibility, circulation and new play areas through the southern portion of the park.
The scope of the project includes a new splash pad, new junior and senior play areas, open lawn space, additional tree planting, a curvilinear path network as well as seating and picnic opportunities. thinc design worked with the public and community stakeholders to develop a “natural” theme in the selection of play equipment and materials. The proposed splash pad will have a variety of spray features to provide fun for both teens and young children.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the Fall of 2022.
