Located in North Toronto’s North York neighbourhood, Joyce Public School is a Toronto District School Board public primary school.
thinc design was retained in 2019 to prepare a master plan in consultation with teachers and school staff for the entire school grounds. This included a redesign of existing ageing play spaces including spaces for kindergarteners, childcare space improvements, a new playground for grades 1 to 6, and a redesigned basketball court. The design also proposed new outdoor teaching spaces, field drainage improvements, new storage and new tree planting and the introduction of more natural play opportunities. Working drawings and construction was completed in 2020.
