thinc design was retained to design Tasca Park. A 21-acre new community park in Nobleton. The park is a new centrepiece to the community which will be implemented over 2 phases. Key components of the park include playgrounds, natural play, a soccer field, splash pad, skate park, parking lot, toboggan hill, play field, exercise circuit, and shade structure.
Future phase 2 components include a dog off-leash area, mountain bike skills park, nature trails and sports field lighting.
The design process included working with the community to develop the vision for the park and a series of design options for community input. The preferred plan includes aspects of the different versions presented.
Construction for phase 1 began in the Spring of 2015 and was completed in early 2016.
In February 2017 the project was awarded a Parks Recreation Ontario award of excellence for design.
