thinc design was retained to design Tasca Park, a new 21-acre community park in Nobleton. The park is a new centrepiece for the community and is being built in two phases. Phase 1 includes playgrounds, natural play, a soccer field, splash pad, skate park, toboggan hill, play field, exercise circuit, shade structure and parking.

Future phase 2 components include a dog off-leash area, a mountain bike skills park, nature trails and sports field lighting.

The design process included working with the community to develop the vision for the park and a series of design options for community input. The preferred plan draws on aspects of each option presented.

Construction of phase 1 began in spring 2015 and was completed in early 2016. In February 2017 the project received a Parks and Recreation Ontario Award of Excellence for design.
