Our dogs have worms!

We love our office creatures! Meet Monty, Charlie, Juno, and the Worms!

Meghan’s Monty and Franco’s Charlie are seasoned office dogs. These four-legged colleagues bring the energy while helping reduce stress with their calming presence and occasional demands for belly rubs. We’re also eagerly anticipating Mike’s dog Juno making her office debut (she’s still working her way up to the big day).

The newest members of the thinc team are straight from our new vermicompost bin! Vermicompost is a fancy term for worm compost. After a visit to our recently completed project, the Allan Gardens Teaching Garden, we ended up with some rather wiggly souvenirs – our very own team of little red wigglers! Since our office building lacks green bin collection, our no-legged friends (all named William, or ‘Willy’ for short) are more than happy to help turn our food scraps into nutrient-rich worm castings. They love apple cores but turn their tiny heads away at anything citrusy. Once our vermicompost gets established, we’ll use the castings to feed our plants.
